Linwood Rugby Club has long stood as a cornerstone of community sport in Christchurch – a club with deep roots in Aotearoa’s Polynesian and Māori communities, and a powerful focus on youth development, whānau involvement, and grassroots engagement. Our partnership with Linwood began with a clear kaupapa: to build a brand presence that reflected the club’s mana and amplified its impact – on and off the field.

From brand development to digital presence and sponsorship strategy design, we’ve worked closely with the club to celebrate its legacy and support its future. This has included the creation of marketing material for three major youth-focused tournaments – Mahuika, Games of Ranginui, and Tāne Mahuta – as well as the design and build of a multilingual Squarespace website to serve the wider Linwood whānau.

With a growing focus on youth rugby, social media engagement, and sponsorship & volunteer outreach, our collaboration continues to evolve – supporting Linwood’s mission to grow the game, strengthen community ties, and provide a place where every young player sees themselves reflected in the sport.

Squarespace Website Development. Built on Squarespace, the new site offers a clean, mobile-friendly experience with easy navigation and flexible layout options – perfect for busy club admins and on-the-go supporters.

Squarespace CMS & Functionality
The user-friendly CMS allows Linwood’s team to update fixtures, news, and content with ease-empowering the club to stay current without needing a developer on hand 24-7.

Trilingual messaging. We incorporated English, Te Reo Māori, and Samoan to reflect Linwood’s diverse community and ensure inclusivity for all players, families, and supporters.

Sponsorship documents & marketing materials. Professional, well-branded sponsorship packs were designed to support outreach efforts – giving potential partners a clear, compelling reason to get behind the club.

Tāne Mahuta Tournament – brand development & marketing. We developed a bold, energetic identity for this boys’ youth tournament, celebrating strength and growth while connecting back to Te Ao Māori values.

Games of Ranginui Tournament – brand development & marketing. A playful, dynamic identity designed to reflect inclusivity and youth energy, with visual elements inspired by stories of Ranginui and sky-bound ambition.

Mahuika Tournament – brand development & marketing. This tournament for wāhine rugby players was given a striking brand presence, honouring Mahuika’s fierce energy and helping elevate the visibility of women’s sport.
